Dare to Dream!

I was so inspired by this lovely Mo Manning digi stamp! I made this card in honor of yesterday's Women's March as my own little way of expressing the hope that all little girls dare to follow their dreams! I colored the digi with Copics and the background is made with Ranger distress inks:

I'm going to post this over at Send A Smile 4 Kids, for their "anything goes" challenge.

Thanks for visiting; come back soon,
Sherry

"Change" theme at Words 2 Craft By

I just found out today (Feb. 2, '17) that my card won the "Change" challenge at Words 2 Craft By! So proud!

"Change" is the theme at Words 2 Craft By, inspired on these well-known song lyrics:

If you wanna make the world a better place, take a look at yourself, and then make a change

When I saw this digi, I knew it was the one for me for this challenge! I can relate in so many ways to the little girl beside the pool, too scared to jump in!

Here's my card; thanks for this cute digi, Mo Manning!

Sketch challenge at Christmas Card Throwdown

Christmas Card Throwdown has a new format (formerly called 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, it now offers a challenge twice a month; once a week must have been tough to administer!).  Once again I would like to try to keep up with their challenges and finish the year with a good stack of Christmas cards or have good cards to send to Send A Smile 4 Kids. We'll see how I do with my resolution.

It's a sketch challenge at CCT and here's the sketch:

And here is the card I made. You can see it is an A2 rectangle and I flipped the sketch:

Digital stamps: Vera Lane Studio.etsy.com:  "Maple"
Copics
DP: Momenta

I had a bit of a challenge executing my idea but I had fun, especially coloring Maple. I cut a little sprig of holly from another dp to tuck in her pocket.
Thanks for stopping by; hope you'll visit again soon,
Sherry

I was published--first time!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by! I just wanted to share good news that my vintage carousel card is published in the Winter issue of Stamper's Sampler on page 46! The challenge was to use their template of a carousel horse and make a card. I am thrilled that they liked my card enough to include it in their beautiful magazine! It is my first time published and I am sure you can tell I'm very excited about it!

Thanks again for visiting!

Cute dog walker digi

Hi. I made this card for a "cat or dog" challenge in a FB group I belong to. I love this Tiddly Inks image, which I paper-pieced and colored with Copics:

Snow Bird Challenge

Hello on the second day of 2017! The new challenge at Cards In Envy starting today is "Snow Birds." I found this perfect Stampendous cling stamp, Snow Bird, and colored it with Inktense pencils. I added Stickles to the branches for bits of "snow".

I hope you will join in the fun and create a card featuring snow and birds! I look forward to seeing your post at Cards In Envy challenge blog. Happy New Year!!
